Travel and Tourism Industry Expo at The International Travel College

The annual ITC Industry Expo is a great opportunity for students to meet with representatives from New Zealands travel and tourism industry and this years Expo was the best one yet!
For one day each year, the college is transformed into an Expo site and companies representing all sectors of the travel and tourism industry are invited to showcase their product to ITC students.
Unusually hot and dry weather strengthens wheat market

Wheat futures moved higher on continued concern over the state of hard red spring (HRS) crops in the northern plains, which endured mostly hot and dry weather this week.

Crop stress in spring wheat areas was leading the uptrend in Wednesday's trade, and unfavorable weather conditions were expected to persist through to next week. Traders noted that strength in the Minneapolis wheat market was helping firm Kansas City and Chicago wheat prices as well.

The state of emergency in Otsego County has been extended through 1:45 p.m. Friday, according to Donald Lindberg, county Board of Representatives chairman.

The state of emergency was declared last week after rains led to severe flooding in the region. In Otsego County, many roads, bridges and culverts were damaged, and some roads and sections of roads remain closed.
According to Kevin Flint, the county’s deputy highway commissioner, the following county roads are closed totally or in sections:

Merrill Lynch analyst Justin Post maintained a "neutral" view on the online travel industry and said Sabre Holdings' Travelocity has the best U.S. net revenue outlook in the group.

"We believe the online travel group is attractively valued," wrote the analyst in a recent research note. However, "momentum investors returning to the Internet may prefer higher growth opportunities in other large-cap Internet names."

Apparently the subject who started the fire tried to light some old wooden pallets in order to make some coals for a barbecue, fire Captain David Freeman said.
“This wouldn’t have happened had it not been for a combination of the palates being so old and dry and the dry and windy weather that evening,” Freeman said.
According to Freeman’s report, the fire quickly spread to cover an area approximately 150 feet by 250 feet.
